Esteban has been practicing as a massage therapist in Barcelona since 2006 and joined Studio Australia Barcelona team in 2014.

A committed practitioner he has massaged over 5000 people since choosing wellness as his vocation and is dedicated to giving his maximum attention to each client.  Being a teacher of Tai Chi and Chi Kung since 1999 he uses the tools of martial arts and mindfulness to enrich what he has to offer the people he treats.

Esteban leads a healthy lifestyle and with his devotion to fitness had a rigorous teaching and training routine that he believes enhances the quality of his treatments.

Tai Chi Chuan & Chi Kung

Tai Chi is known today as “the martial art of longevity,” this discipline, of Chinese origin, was thought to be developed first by Taoist monks in the XIII century.

Havard Medical School has called it “medicine in motion”.

You may have seen groups of people in the parks moving together doing this form of martial arts and wondered what they are doing?

A way to describe it is “a practice and series of smooth and fluid body movements that combines the foundations of Chinese medicine, the principles of Taoist philosophy, meditation and martial arts to channel vital energy (Qi) to restore, repair and revive the body.”

An almost inseparable technique of this idea of “meditation in motion” is Chi Kung (or Qi Gong).

The class with Esteban consists of a series of breathing exercises combined with movements that allow you to gain energy and find relaxation.

This energy can also be accumulated and directed with the mind, making it flow throughout the body, enclosing and emitting it to prevent diseases or imbalances and heal or help heal others.

During the classes you practice Tai Chi forms 8 and 24 Yang style and Dr. Li Ding Chi Kung technique.

Tai Chi and Chi Kung are in general safe for everyone but we always suggest that you speak to your doctor before you start any exercise especially if you have any medical issues.

It’s not necessary to have previous knowledge to attend your sessions.

Esteban Gilardi Vaccaro has 10 years of experience in teaching Tai Chi and has been practicing the art himself daily since 1999.
